I know. Vancouver is f***ing dangerous this time of year
I recently moved to the BC Interior. We have rattlesnakes and black widows creeping and crawling around like they own the place.

That’s not to mention the bears, wolves and mountain lions all laying in wait for me to leave the house every day. I’m thinking of getting bars fitted to my windows. Only half joking… 😅

Amazing place to live - wouldn’t like the winters though, too cold for me. My other niece, who lives in New York now was named after Mt Olympus.

You're a strange man.

Continue to make up bizarre stories about me, it's all good.

I'm just happy to be back and looking forward to making exceptional contributions to NSC once again, earning the website mega bucks in the process. I've heard that Bozza is already shopping around for his next super car.

I've been a valuable contributor the website for over 20 years. The thread might seem stupid, but is it really stupid if it works?

For what it's worth - the ban happened because, rightly or wrongly, I criticised the quantity of band related threads on the board and suggested a separate forum, which didn't go down well with the userbase. The site reacted by creating a 'Band Stand Chat' banner at the top of the page. I then figured, f*** it, when in Rome, and started a very successful thread about Bjork... I wasn't trolling or anything, I genuinely love Bjork and figured it would be an interesting thread, which it was. Either way, one of the moderators took exception to this and applied the ban, and the rest is history.

Throughout my years here I have genuinely always tried to remain inoffensive and I think I'm generally successful in doing that, but nobody's perfect.

I don't feel bullied or attacked by the poll results or comments. Like others have suggested, it's just anonymous people doing anonymous things in an entertainment/pantomime environment and I can see why I am perceived to be the villain.

I'd be happy to see the thread sink the the bottom, and for normality to resume as I continue to post exceptional Albion related posts and content.
Your little potted history forgets completely to mention your original flounce, or the reason for it. Which came down to you posting for months that you were immune to Covid , before getting Covid. Slightly stupid, and a very odd hill to die on.

And you didn’t go quietly. You asked for your data to be deleted which meant that if your content really was “superb” (and often it was the opposite of that) the threads also disappeared.

That Bozza has allowed you back, unfettered, after that says more about him and this site than it does about you, and I’d suggest you leave the self justification right here (the thread would have sunk had you not bounced it last night).

@Bozza - now that the football side of things has gone to hell and highwater, can we have the "Band Stand Chat" back?

Don't worry. I have been stockpiling topics ever since we were knocked out of the European thingy.

You will be amazed at what we well be able to enjoy.

I'll give you a brief preview:

Greenhouse upgrades ???
Who was our biggest waste of money signing? ???
Most dangerous garden insects ???
Should I sell my timeshare? ???
Stacation, yes or no? ???
What will Labour actually do? ???
Next Tory leader (with poll to follow) ???
Who will score our goals now we have sold Pedro? ???
I think you'll find NSC is most looking forward to the "Biggest c*nt currently playing in the Premier League" world cup, due to be held when the season ends.

It's wide open this year.

If nothing else, this thread has at least brought to light that " discourage User" tag WAS used.

I had never heard of this before and I find it hard to disagree with GingerbeerMan on post 33. Why on earth would any Moderator use this tag...?

Am I allowed to ask , who applied it and perhaps more importantly, was the poster notified...?

As another point, this Board claims to just over 28,000 members, but I note that at this point only 79 have voted. Is this because of lack of interest or is it possibly a forum that has now a very limited number of active members...?

Now I like most of what you say, but that is a poor choice. The winner will surely come from Man Utd, Villa or Chelsea. Although Arsenal also have a couple of candidates.
I was in the family stand watching his pathetic shoot gun celebration after his fluky deflected goal and even my old man - who never, ever swears - called him a wanker. Plus his chavvy mum and shit haircut. I appreciate it's probably recency bias but he at least deserves a nomination. If he wasn't playing football he'd be throwing stones at your car.

Martinez is Maupay on steroids. He isn't a Mike Hunt. Merely an epic wind up merchant. Got to be honest, I actually like the bloke.

You can have Bruno Fernandez though and most of the Chelsea team.

If I was a moderator and people were making my life difficult in a role that I do unpaid, I'd probably use it daily. Or even hourly. What's the point in having great powers if you never use them?

1) You are allowed to ask.

2) You seem to have some kind of obsession with painting NSC, and particularly Bozza, in a negative light. Care to explain why?

Exceptional can mean many things.

Rare (finding diamond among glass is an exceptional outcome)
Good (that shot was exceptional)
Bad (that Ulloa penalty was exceptional)
Consistent (every time Locardia shoots, he misses)

Not sure any of the OP's post qualify in any of the categories, above. Apart from the #4 perhaps

Which is, in fact, quite exceptional, no ???

As Richard Adams once wrote "today, on May 4, no weather records were beaten, anywhere in the UK, which is...a record!"
It looks like you and me are at 2.15:

How odd. You are usually a very good judge of character as a Moderator even though I don't always agree with you.

I most certainly do not hold Bozza in a negative light , far from it. I do think his appointments are questionable, but it is his forum and I'm aware that with this forum having lurched seriously to the left, that many will disagree with me. On a purely personal note, I have seen that Bozza is and has been needing to spend considerable time with his mum. A very difficult time for him and I certainly don't intend targeting him. Not now, not ever.

The reason I would like to know why the discourage tag was used and by whom, as it seems very disproportionate and I think that in this case, the majority would agree that it is wrong. Why should all the moderators be tarred with the same brush...?

Lol........I do think your reply indicates a vindictive nature, when as a Moderator you have the simple task of applying a ban instead.

Or do you consider a vindictive person is a good choice as a Moderator...?

Just for clarification, I don't.

So you wouldn't say that accusing Bozza of "weakness", of "starting an embarrassing number of threads", and of "allowing the site to be used as a left wing rag" as well as suggesting that the difference between active members and voters on this one thread could mean that NSC is "a forum with a very limited number of active members" is painting Bozza or NSC in a negative light? Got it.

As for the discourage function, the simple answer, which I know you won't like, is this: it's absolutely none of your business.
